Empowering changemakers to tackle inequality

Through Changemakers for Equality, we identify, connect, and support changemakers who pioneer tangible, community-centered solutions that address the structural drivers of inequality and advance equality in their communities. Participants gain access to a global community, tailored capacity building, and seed funding to enable cross-border collaboration.

What we do

Through this programme, we searched for, identified, selected and empowered up to 15 young changemakers aged 18-35 across Asia, who were tackling inequality through tangible, community-centred solutions.

Why Equality?

Inequality is one of the defining challenges of our time. Inequality is intersectional and shaped by overlapping systems that influence who can access quality education and skills, decent work and income, safety and health, as well as meaningful participation in society, among others. Wealth inequality is a central part of this, not only in terms of money and assets, but also in terms of who has social capital, networks, and decision making power.

Meet the changemakers

Through this programme, we back young changemakers who address the structural drivers of inequality and advance practical solutions that expand access and opportunity, build collaboration across the wealth spectrum, and create pathways to social mobility and shared prosperity.

Dela advances equality by enabling young people and Indigenous communities to learn, preserve and sustain their languages and cultural heritage in the digital age. Through BilikBecakap, she combines cultural technology, community collaboration and a deep commitment to Indigenous languages to keep cultural knowledge alive.

Hadiqa addresses the root causes of gender inequality by equipping girls and marginalised young people with education, sexual and reproductive health and rights resources, and leadership opportunities. Through Girls United for Human Rights, she combines women’s rights advocacy, coalition building and community engagement to drive systemic change.

Ing Kai Chong
Ing Kai makes STEAM education accessible and engaging through chopstick robots. Through Stick ’Em, he combines empathy, meaningful connections and social entrepreneurship to create inclusive learning opportunities and equip young people with skills for the future.

Jill equips Lao youth and young professionals with targeted training, local and global mentorship, and direct microgrant funding. Through the Micro-Grant Mentorship Project, she enables them to develop and lead community initiatives and businesses that contribute meaningfully to Laos’s sustainable development.

Kohinoor integrates neuroscience, psychology and art to advance mental health awareness and neuro-literacy. Through the ARISA Foundation, she combines scientific research, impact evaluation and evidence-based design to strengthen social resilience and community well-being.

Marvi cultivates Indigenous women’s leadership in Pakistan’s frontline mountain communities. Through Innovate Educate and Inspire Pakistan, she brings together gender justice, digital sovereignty and climate resilience, using decolonial feminism and intersectional thinking to drive systemic change.

Radhika helps workplaces become period-positive, inclusive and responsive to diverse menstrual experiences. Through Flow at Work, she advances gender equality and menstrual health through open conversations, policy advocacy, practical tools and human connection.

Rafid expands young people’s participation, access and agency in digital and civic spaces. Through the youth-led Kashful Foundation, he uses artivism and digital storytelling to challenge the structural drivers of inequality, build movements and inspire change across borders.

Ravali empowers girls and young women from marginalised castes to find their voice, make their own choices and pursue their aspirations. Through Esther, she combines empathy, thoughtful programme design and strong partnerships to create more equitable opportunities.

Sonal builds more equitable futures through programmes centred on gender equality, peacebuilding and well-being. Through the Parindey Wellbeing and Development Foundation, she fosters youth leadership, strengthens communities and shares knowledge to advance lasting social change.

Zainab creates inclusive networks of support, care and resilience across Sri Lanka, empowering women, disabled people, queer youth and other vulnerable communities. Through Yellowdot Community, she uses inclusive design and iterative programming to scale lasting social impact.
